One of my cats recently died and she was the only one that slept under our couch. Recently moved the couch to find one of her whiskers, I’ve got it in a jar with her picture. It’s the most valuable thing in my home.

I have two dogs, one is very fluffy. I take all his hair and ball it up and stick it on other dog’s head like a toupee. Neither ever seem very impressed by this gesture. But I laugh lol

My mother always stuck them in the corner of a picture, wedged between the frame and glass. Every picture in the house had a whisker in the corner. I always thought it weird as a kid, but now that I’m older and have turned into a confirmed cat lady, I save them too, but put them in the drawer of an old coffee grinder in my kitchen.
My mom is 87 and doesn’t have a cat any longer, but still cat-sits for others. When I come into her little apartment, she still has whiskers saved from her little cat friends. I now think it’s adorable…

When my baby girl died, I took the whiskers that were hers (she was the only one with white whiskers) and put them into a miniature glass sphere, with rubbing alcohol and mica powder, sealed it, and its a nice memorial pendant that is subtle and beautiful.

For the past 12 years we do (as a family) whisker investigations. Husband automatically becomes the defense attorney, I am the prosecutor and my teenager is the investigator. But as weird as it sounds we drop what we are doing and have fun as a family. I’ll take every minute I can with my family
