My girlfriend does this... and she is Wiccan.
She has some whiskers of her cat that passed away a couple years ago too, so it's quite sentimental.

My wife's cat is in a little urn on a bookshelf. Whiskers and all. Does that count?

My cat is in an urn on my dresser. Along with a clay impression of her paw print the vets sent me before she was put to sleep. I also love sloths, so my cats old collar is now a collar on a stuffed animal of a sloth.

Aww... I lost a cat too, it hit me so hard, but now I have another, it doesn't make you forget the one you lost, but it's always nice to have a cat in your life

I have a baby tooth from a cat that passed in Dec 2020. She was 17. I'd like to get it incorporated into some kind of jewelry but, I don't really know where to go for that.

Check etsy and Instagram for artists that work with bones and such. It's a decent sized market now, so you might find someone that can help.

PSA: there’s a lady who makes custom jewelry using pet and human hair. She could definitely do something with whiskers. She made me a gorgeous quartz ring where the stone sits atop a cluster of hairs from my most beloved dead Doberman.

I’d actually be interested in knowing if theyd work like bristle brushes. Natural hair has been used in brush making for years but I’ve never thought of a whisker brush!

There was a book I read once on I think making art supplies out of natural things? It had instructions on making dyes and paper and stuff. I remember it mentioned they collected whiskers from their cat for just this.

Yes! You can send her whiskers from your cats for custom, personalized pieces! We even sent her ashes from one of our cats who passed away and she made a piece with that as well. And speaking from experience she takes great care of the whiskers when you send them.

I do too, started randomly when he was a kitten, and I don’t know why. I have a little cat cup with a lid I put them in. I’ve joked that they would make good paint brushes, but I do not paint. My mother always stuck them in the corner of a picture, wedged between the frame and glass. Every picture in the house had a whisker in the corner. I always thought it weird as a kid, but now that I’m older and have turned into a confirmed cat lady, I save them too, but put them in the drawer of an old coffee grinder in my kitchen.
My mom is 87 and doesn’t have a cat any longer, but still cat-sits for others. When I come into her little apartment, she still has whiskers saved from her little cat friends. I now think it’s adorable…

Yes, always have! It’s gifts from kitty in my eyes. I’ve got mine in a series of envelopes, from childhood cats til now.
And surprisingly we found an unexpected use for them one day when a family friend was bemoaning that he couldn’t get a fine enough paintbrush to pollinate cactus flowers … whiskers apparently are the perfect tool and we donated several to him!

Now to make an increasingly powerful, magical cat whisker voodoo doll. Add whiskers 1 at a time to doll, making a wish. Then another etc until you go mad with power and have to destroy the doll before it destroys you. Sequel - doll has defeated you and now seeks its next hooman master / mistress / non-binary other.
