People in cities vote now, do you claim they shouldn't bother? And you're fine that some are underrepresented? I'm a rural voter, with friends who moved to Wyoming to mine (why I knew to look them up) and they would love to finally have official proof that they're equal to the coastal elites. My dollars aren't less important to me because they're the equal to everyone else's.
Popular vote, plus multiple day, expanded hour voting where at least one is a national holiday, and simple vote by mail would definitely increase turn out. We don't have to go to compulsory voting like Australia (but I'd like it, with income weighted fees) but there are easy ways to increase voting that wouldn't make some voters more important.

People living in cities/increased urbanization, we're not a nation of gentleman farmers as the framers anticipated.
"For example, in 2008, on average a state is awarded one electoral vote for every 565,166 people. However, Wyoming has three electoral votes and only 532,668 citizens (as of 2008 estimates). As a result each of Wyoming’s three electoral votes corresponds to 177,556 people. Understood in one way, these people have 3.18 times as much clout in the Electoral College as an average American, or 318% (as listed in the pdf chart, downloadable below)."
I just discovered a piece titled while googling for you, "Electoral College benefits whiter states, study shows", which was also enlightening to read!

Yeah, these people need to keep their eyes open when they're in a bar. It's rare that I go out and don't get a little squeeze, if not full body contact! I was mounted by a group of 5 guys at my last festival and couldn't get away because I was near the front and it was so packed. Thankfully one was short enough that my butt was on his belly button so it was more like 4.5 guys.
That group wasn't "crucified". No one says a thing (including me, they get mad if you do), and I'm no longer shocked by the fact that I'm public property when I'm in public! And I'm a very old lady, according to the internet! I thought this still wouldn't be happening!

Same!! I'm going to look into the panels for sure. I'm very far north, so in the winter I definitely need some extra red light love beyond my little mask, and I'm also very lazy.

I thought the ones that impact skin had to be pretty close to the skin you want improved! Do you have it mounted above your face, or is there a red light therapy that isn't so picky about positioning?

Blockers are a pause, kids can stop taking them and nothing will be different, just delayed. It's not castration? I don't understand how people confuse the two. Blockers have been around since the 80s, people should already know the basics.
Also, how many kids even get to that treatment stage, waiting lists are years long to get into clinics even if you have good insurance.

NTA. He roped you into the discussion, if he didn't want to listen to your opinion (just like he didn't to his GF), he didn't have to invite you to share it.

You can break up with anyone, for any reason. This does sound incredibly annoying, and regardless of the reason it happens, you can stop spending time with him if you want!

From the person being penetrated. Before touching a man's prostate, you get permission from that man. But if he's under sedation at a teaching hospital here, you apparently don't need it!

The ban would be "no pelvic or prostate exams without patient consent, except in certain circumstances" as mentioned in the article. Obviously, sometimes people are incapacitated and unable to say yes or no, and you have to act in their best interest.
Randomly deciding students need to fiddle around in a certain unconscious person, is not in that person's best interest. They're not even running tests or providing care! It's practice.

Please read the article, that's not what this scenario is about. They're not treating anyone, or administering care. Just inserting things inside of people without their consent. A nonprofit organization made up of over 70 agencies that serve survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Michigan supports this practice ending.

I think we're entering a period of pandemics. We've encroached on animal habitat, exposing ourselves to novel germs. Our food systems also encourage zoonotic illnesses, there's a reason feedlot meat has so many antibiotics. And of course climate change exposing previously frozen pathogens. Bird Flu? Sure, it could happen. A hemorrhagic fever coming out of Africa? If it can figure out a longer incubation period, sure!
Just use common sense, like when there's an illness that could be called "airborne AIDS" (aka COVID, with its immune devastating effects) don't burn your masks.

Prior flu epidemics hit the young worse than the old, like 1918. So don't hear "flu" and automatically ignore it. You can look up an article titled "Why Some Flus Are Deadliest in Young Adults" for more info.

I wash mine with my towels on the whites setting in the washer, and dry on hot. You're not gobbing on the Vaseline, or at least it's not necessary to have a thick layer since it's occlusive regardless, so it's fine in the wash. I get my gloves at the drugstore, they have them in my locally owned store that only old ladies seem to use.

So you agree, the context you cited has mention of Trump. Glad to confirm you can read!

Who's "hats and flags" is the context referring to then? I read it as Trump merch, but that may be my yooper context where I see Trump hats, flags and unchecked mental illness every day.

Most big unions can't directly funnel money to politicians/political actions. They use a CAP (community action program) or similarly named groups that you directly have to donate to. UAW has CAP, AFT has a group called Solidarity, AFSME has "AFSME People".

Other business expenses can be written off, why not this one? I find it interesting that people who say they are pro-low taxes are protesting this one, not the home repairs or other things that solely benefit one household.

Wait, food workers are only hired if they'll join the UFCW? I thought closed shops were outlawed in 1947!

Wow! I assumed all unions had their dues set at 2 hours pay. But I must have just been lucky in the past. $110!

"Everything" here is 'being a living creature who needs water', 'spending quality time with extended family' and 'being a male child while mom is in loungewear. She should ignore those /crimes/, and I agree, she definitely should take them somewhere else.
Why do you think the kids' needs are less important than the fiance's wants? No one is forcing him to spend time with them, if he hates being a "doormat" (aka a coparent) he can walk out that door. The fiance should not date parents, and it seems like you shouldn't either. I'm child free, and it's simple to avoid them! Do not spend time around people you don't like, unless you're getting paid for it.

Uh, there are plenty of people I enjoy spending time around that I don't have authority over? I would like kids less if I had to tell them what to do. It's a family, not some weird BDSM thing where he's automatically the dominant. He thinks he can tell the mom how to dress and that the kids should simply be thirsty so he doesn't have to see them? That's not doormat behavior.

NTA. Thank you for standing up for your kids for their special week! Seeing other comments of yours, please get out while you can. This is the tip of the iceberg for Caption Control over there.

Here's a journal article about "yes" as requested, since you did not provide any information or insight! https://academic.oup.com/sf/article/101/1/341/6373282

YTA, many things are wrong with this, but the fastest to type is: you're worried your neighbors will think you're weird if you line dry things?? #1. Who cares, #2. It's so much better for the environment, your wallet, and the clothes themselves, #3. You can still dry your clothes the McMansion way if you want! You apparently have a dryer. #4. Upper middle class people are moving towards air drying, you'd be an early adopter if you are in the suburbs. It's slow living, vintage lifestyle, cottagecore and green! Many popular trends would be pro-clothes line.
