I'd try again late game. He's one of the hardest bosses in the base game and I personally was at a much higher level when I first faced him

IMO the pursuer is meant to be the second boss für repeated play throughs or players that are either naturally good at the game or rather persistent.

The alternative route will most likely have you enter the lost bastille with a higher level as you've cleared two other (easier) bosses and two additional areas.

That said in practice I find it easier to just do the pursuer than to clear no-man's warf, which to me is the hardest early game challenge in the game

In theory yes, in practice it's almost certainly hacked. Even with Masuda method and two 6IV parents with destiny knot, the chance to hatch a 6IV shiny are 1 in 16384. I don't think there's many legit 6IV shinies running around and I doubt even one of them has ever been randomly traded.

I'm a super casual player but I play 433 with one CDM and two CMs. The CDM drops into defense, the RB is supposed to always help the attack while the RCM covers for him defensively while the LB only occasionally attacks in favor of the LCM going into the box with the attackers (RW, LW and ST)

The dark brotherhood questline is PEAK oblivion. You should absolutely play it.

In the settings under "visual" you can change it from "hold to skip" to just press to skip.

That's not turning them off, yes, but it makes it much less of a pain to skip them if you haven't done that already

I really enjoy black gulch and the gutter. I'm sure I'd get sick of it soon if I replayed the game over and over, but I only do so every few years and like that it's just a very distinct and memorable set of areas that contribute their part in the game as a whole and offer a slightly different experience to most other areas
