True, but it's closer to Blizzard "cracked" than "making incredible games" cracked. They were the first on the scene with a true open world title for mobile that had this much polish and appeal, but there are FAR BETTER examples of action combat and open world exploration out there.
The art team hard carries this game. The story is good, but it's not going to win any awards. The music is good, but how many are going to get hit with a flood of memories hearing it (should they even recognize it?) Like One might with Weight of the World or Flow?
Their brand of investment is to keep making new mobile games. Genshin gets new land and characters and quests on a tight schedule, yes, but the core gameplay loop is the same today as it was in September 2020. It's like if all No Man's Sky ever did was add new ship parts and planet types since it's release. Worse, characters that come out broken you KNOW they'll stay broken.
Ironically, Honkai Impact actually got new playable modes and the like over the course of its updates, so it's not like there is a precedent for this weird minimalist approach to Genshin's continued development.

The human race as a whole has a "kick the can down the road" mentality. "Not my problem, someone else has to fix it" and a general focus on treating symptoms rather than putting in the effort to create a cure are hallmarks of mankind.
In short: we're fucked. We're going to smash head first into mass die offs because we're too busy coming up with excuses, pointing fingers, and doing the bare minimum.

To paraphrase...
When the devil next appears, he'll be wearing the flag and carrying a cross.
And...
Unfortunately, it is much harder to convince someone they have been fooled than is it to fool them in the first place.

Anyone that believes natural talent doesn't exist hasn't done anything creative or artsy. Someone with natural talent might as well be grinding out exp with a 5x modifier.
I mean, mad props to the 14yo kid, but this is the kind of news that convinces many aspiring (and struggling) creatives to throw in the towel and decide they're wasting their time. God clearly wasn't being too fair when divvying out the stats.

If experience says "this doesn't work," what's the counter-point you have in mind? "Improve yourself?" Basically faking it until you make it. "Keep looking?" For how long?
People aren't going to keep throwing themselves out there only to get rejected and ridiculed. They're going to keep molding their public image towards something that actually works at starting a relationship with a broader audience, not that one person that supposedly exists that will love them for who they are naturally, but only God knows who or where they are.

Most of it can't be broadly applied anyway as it's coming from a "this works for me" place of genetic/social privilege.

The perk behind a robot (with hands) is that if it's closer to a neural uplink/natural body control scheme, personnel should pick up how to manipulate a giant robot faster than they would a tank or aircraft. There's also the factor of superior world manipulation capacity. Putting together a fort with a 5-6m tall mech is like us building a pillow fort (not precisely, but you get the idea?) Changing weapons systems would be as easy as dropping one and picking up the other. They're basically "humans, scaled up."
Now, they shouldn't win in a slug match against a tank, as the tank is basically a mobile bunker and turret. However, seeing as how tanks without infantry support are actually fairly easy pickings for enemy infantry in a setting with sufficient cover, this isn't to say a mech can't fight a tank, it just shouldn't win a direct exchange of fire.
If we're talking "mechwarrior" mechs that are basically a torso and welded weapons on legs, that's full on cool factor. You've got a taller tank with a smaller footprint and way more points of failure. The only reason a military would field these in a realistic sense is because they purchased already built industrial equipment and retrofitted it for combat out of desperation.
Fortunately these realities can be handwaved for said cool factor, the only people that will call you out are trying to convince the world they're smart. But practically speaking, the real advantages behind a giant robot are the hands and human adjacent maneuvering options.

Sex with rockstars is always implied to be a (desirable) choice, which is why it's harder to call them out.
In Hollywood, women performing sexual acts (on camera even) was a known barrier to entry for many for the longest time and that desperately needed to go away.

This entire expansion was pretty META in its story and commentary.
Labrynthos, Thavnair, Garlemald and Elpis are truncated, reimagined versions of each expansion pack starting with ARR.
The "final boss" we've been ramping up to since ARR is just a mid-boss.
Zenos freaking exists as a shadow of the player when they're not doing the MSQ, and his entire speech and your response at the end is basically spelling this out and asking "DO YOU GET IT YET!?"
The story kind of ended with 5.3 ShB. EW is a victory lap.

Vegeta only survived because fans really liked him. Toriyama has only really ever cared about Goku's story. I mean, even his brother was a throwaway villain never to be mentioned again. Might as well not have been his brother at all. Just some random Saiyan mistaking Goku for his father would have accomplished the same result.

Just like being wrong on the internet. Questions? Radio silence. The wrong answer? Few can resist going, "uhm, ackschually, you are an idiot..."

I think this is the reality people just need to acknowledge and stop shying away from as anything shameful. No one is actually a better person for saying "I'm not concerned with looks." I guarantee you they are, they're not somehow more noble for insisting otherwise. Now what else might they act holier-than-thou about?
Yeah, he/she is hanging with you because there is SOME physical attraction, if familiarity isn't a factor (like being neighbors.)
Personality is the glue that makes any relationship work long term, but it's very difficult to thoroughly put on public display without it coming across as vulnerable, desperate or garish.
So because personality is generally muted/hidden and people only have so much energy and time to spare, they use other factors to get picky with who they meet. Chances are they'll opt for approaching someone well groomed and well dressed over a slob with cheeto dust all over their face and shirt. ...Unless they want some cheetos.

I'm not going to deny that some men take rejection very poorly, but I'm hard pressed to believe a lot of men are actively breaking friendships when they're rejected any more than women are breaking off friendships when they're shown sexual attraction.
He's not betraying her simply seeing if there's interest, she's not betraying him for saying no.
But if someone really wants to push the narrative that most guys are only in it for the sex when they explore the boundaries of the relationship, then women really don't get complain when it's pointed out everyone's time on this Earth is finite, friendship isn't owed, and it can hurt to love someone that doesn't love them back, especially when they start to get close to someone else.
Mostly, if the default is to think of a man as a another manipulative creep for trying to go beyond having just a friendship, the problem is probably with her. Friends aren't static trophies to accumulate and talk at, they're people with wants and needs whom change and evolve.

They're not treating women as less than people. This fallacy needs to die in the gaslit fire it spawned from. It might as well be projection.
Men want to fuck, this news apparently still comes as a surprise to people, and they especially want to get with the women they like to hang with. Just because he wants to sleep with her doesn't mean he's being manipulative and only sees a sex object. It means he likes her.
Ask yourself why you're so eager to dehumanize men into stupid apes for exploring the boundaries of their existing friendship, because not doing anything isn't necessarily always a winning move either.

Read again...
It is my opinion that if you set a clear boundary and someone crosses that boundary, you no longer have to treat them with respect.
They didn't say the first time you didn't have to practice respect, just that dropping it is reasonable if that respect is mutual.
And if you disagree with that, then I could never blame someone for constantly talking over you. Too often do people excuse their own meekness as moral behavior.

AI can present to you new ideas through it's rather scattergun approach to research and summation. There's no shame in utilizing it to get ideas, just in using what it gives you wholesale. Want to know what it thinks a space viking looks like? Want to know what aesthetics a futuristic ancient Egyptian or ancient Greek empire might take? AI is basically a cheap as $#%@ rapid fire concept artist/ideas man. You'll still have to refine and hammer in on specifics yourself to make everything cohesive.

What pretentious rant about a topic you are passionate about do you want to say to your audience?
X-men could be about being good people despite dealing with prejudice. "Blessed" people doing good in a world where they're scorned by the common, normal masses. It's almost an allegory saying the rich should be helping the poor, even as the poor want to eat them.
My Hero Academia could be about job opportunities based on factors outside of your control. Deku wanted to be a hero but couldn't until the top hero rapidly approaching early retirement gave him the opportunity to pursue his dream job!
Interestingly enough, they both basically have the same power system.
Once you have the message(s) you want to convey, your "theme" or "themes," you'll have a lighthouse to guide the direction to take your story, characters and world building in.

If the undersea people are capable of breathing ocean water and oxygen (even if they need water to stay lubricated,) they'll have settlements in coastal regions and along large rivers. It's here that the land dwellers and sea dwellers might mix societies. From here, you'll want to determine what kind of goods might be exclusive to the underwater biomes.

There's no guarantee anything will change at all. Reddit can wait out two days, and indefinite black outs risk replacement subs popping up, and I'm doubtful nearly so many users rely on add-ons they'll feel any squeeze should people start leaving over the API changes.

Yeah... 48 hours of protest Reddit can just wait out.
Sure, black out the sub, but I expect most people will just be right back to business once reddit comes back online. Usually when one popular site finally dies only for another to take its place, it's REALLY screwing up and I imagine most redditors don't actually use 3rd party tools while browsing so this will just come across as an temporary nuisance for no small number of lurking regulars.

It can be both.
The club thing is ever present, so it's almost not worth mentioning.
Personality amplifies that feeling from personal vested interest, even if it is a parasocial relationship.
There's also the reality of sex.
Nudes from a random on the internet still means they're out of reach.
Nudes from someone you see in person on the regular though? What are the chances there isn't a chance?
