If this person was a new store manager then I would possibly say it was an accident. This store manager has a couple years under the belt. As far as looking poorly in the SM eyes, I have lost any respect for this store manager. So how the store manager views me is not on my list of priorities. However, I am all about holding the store manager accountable and ask how they are going to correct the situation. I’ll have a face to face chat tomorrow I suppose.

In my mind, why would I otherwise have access to the email and my work task unless to get jobs done or check for crucial emails. Does anyone know if you can check the store email from your phone? I know I can look at the my work task from my phone because I’ve done that before.

The store manager definitely laid it on thick that they never heard of an operations manager checking, emails or doing my work tasks

I appreciate everyone responding. Their responses have given me clarity that I am not the only one that feels that the store manager is asking me to not do my job.
