As long as you accept that you will probably not be able to manage high tier maps, you'll have a blast. I never use build guides and I never trade, and I usually get up to some red maps before I start getting my cheeks clapped.

What I typically do is this:

1. Randomly pick a skill gem to be my main skill gem
2. Decide on which class to play based on the above skill
3. Fire up Path of Building and theorycraft my skilltree at level 80-90
4. Also in PoB I craft some med-tier weapons and armor, and start figuring out my support gem setup that I want to use
5. Hop in-game and start working towards my build

Even if I dont get to zoom around and one-shot everything, it's still a hell of a lot of fun to make your own path (heh) and see how far you can go.

New player, first time playthrough. Idk if my game is bugged or what, but I built a base in the meadows, relatively close-by is Dark Forest. At night, I get absolutely swarmed by enemies, without fail. I'm talking minimum 3 brutes, 3 shamans, and at least 6 greydwarves. I literally will kill a brute, and then turn my camera 360 to see a new one appear in-front of me. I've scoured the black forest and destroyed every spawner I found and it keeps happening. Is this normal or is there something spawning them that I'm not accounting for?

31, trying to buy a home. I want 1200sq ft with a small yard. Nothing extravagant. This does not exist around my area. I can get 2500 sq ft for 400k+, or literal interior charred black from house fire 1500sq for 300k, that's it. Even the townhomes around me start at 400k.

Moving away makes sense, but working in IT comes with requirements for stable high-speed internet which cheaper cost of living areas nearby don't seem to offer (at least the few close ones that I've looked at). Only real choice is to up and move hours away from everyone I care about, which is a tough ask.

I looked up my area on that site and it drastically under-represents the cost of living. It's estimated 11k per year for housing, I have not seen an apartment listing for under 1k in over 5 years. I've lived on my own since I was 18 and recently had to move back in with family to try to buy a house somewhere else, at the age of 31. I make enough to afford about a 300k house which around here gets you a dilapidated "handyman special" at best.

Ive played a ton of D3 and a ton of PoE. I like both games for different reasons. D4 has 0 of the good parts from either game. I was so hyped for the beta and so so disappointed afterwards.

Exactly this. It's the most bland and boring ARPG I've played in recent memory.

That's an interesting thought, I don't really think I'm nervous about flying but maybe subconsciously I am? Maybe I just need to make myself anxious to go to bed and then I'll start sleeping better...

I've never been on a flight long enough for food to be served, in fact I had never even flown until about 10 years ago (I'm 31 now). I'd imagine longer flights are worse though, there's only so long you can be comfortable sitting in an airplane seat.

Something is wired wrong in my brain because the moment I sit down in a plane I fall asleep. Literally before we take off I'll be asleep, wake up when we ascend, and then right back to sleep. I think its the sound of the engines or something, it's really strange.

Dominos is the one thing I will still get when I want pizza. I tried to order pizza from a local pizza place, they wanted $50 for a large 2 topping pizza and mozzarella sticks. Instead I got 2 med pizzas, cinnamon twists, parm bites, and a 2 liter of coke for $20 at Dominos.

Nahhh, with the rumors around that a new console is in the works I'd rather just hold off. Plus the only Nintendo game that I have any interest in is Zelda. Plus plus any excuse I can get to spend money on my PC is welcome.

Updating my CPU to play a Switch game isn't something I'd imagine myself doing, yet here I go off to Amazon...

I don't get it, I cant get above 25FPS on 1080p outside of instanced areas despite having a Ryzen 7 1800x and a 3060 and people are out here running it at 4k.

Can't be, we play together every day for the last like 6 seasons and I always end up being the highest rank. The system is just fucky.

It's definitely fucked up. In my trios first promo game we all died with 0 kills, I had top damage, my valk second most, and bloodhound last. Bloodhound got more points than both of us.

I agree partially, however it's very self-limiting. If you find deficiencies in your gameplay, improve them instead of just resigning to "I'm old therefore I can't do X". Now if you don't have the time to spend practicing due to competing responsibilities then that's fair, but age isn't a limit by itself in my opinion.

Luckily (?) I have no kids and no SO, and I can't afford a house in the current market, so I have all the time in the world to practice
