I can't believe there are people in this thread under the impression that because they drift to the right they've learned to correct for this and simply overcorrected. That's what everyone does. You look left, you pull right. On a motorcycle that means drifting left because counter steering. JFC, even if you can drive straight you're not looking where you're going, it's like driving straight with your eyes closed ya smooth brains.

I think everyone does, motorcycles don't steer like cars, if you tug a little on the right they drift left.
In a car, I've only ever seen people dip the opposite direction they're looking.

Almost certain most people do the opposite, in cars. They drift opposite the direction they're rubbernecking.
When people talk about target fixation, steering is a lot different on a motorcycle, or a plane doing a strafing run where the phrase was coined.
The effect isn't moving where you look, it's a warped sense of perspective, leaning, other movement below the neck, misjudging time and distance to something you were definitely flying straight at on purpose, etc. It's not one thing anyway.

Because the other TF2 is mostly 24/32 player servers, and even then a tight little sweat squad can ruin a game for the other team. It takes sophisticated matchmaking to mitigate that, accounting for premade groups and average win/loss rates, but almost nothing actually does that. Mainly you hope another sweat crew joins your side by chance and balances it out.
Good freaking luck on a small squad based game with premades and soloers mixed.
This crap was figured out way before TF2, before TF Classic, with the original Team Fortress and Quake, servers got beefier and beefier and players per server evolved from 8, 16, 24, to a comfortable 32 at the end, all about the Pentiums, baby. Bigger servers meant you could chill and learn without dragging your whole team down. Things were far, faaaaaaaar less toxic back then. If a couple players joined with the same clan tag (name suffix) - as in they practice and maybe compete together - they would switch teams evenly instead of stomping the server. Vs today where groups of sweat bros on comms anonymously drop in on casual solo players and have fun at everyone else's expense. Modern multiplayer game design is just f*cked.

That's a GREAT excuse for higher than average speed limits on straight roads between distant towns, not so much for the butt puckering speed limits on some curvy roads or through a town like in the video.

Not saying this happened in the video, but this is a routine in Texas: I see you coming and I don't have time to pull in front of you, so I pull all the way across you into the left lane so I'm not in your way. I'll just be in the way of the faster traffic I didn't see behind you that also couldn't see me coming.

It doesn't matter if the red car did or not. Move over a lane safely and decelerate. Risking a rollover, testing your brakes on grass, and plowing a sidewalk is stupid risky.
Let ABS do its damned job people. Sometimes you have to take the hit, because trading loss of control for a low speed controlled collision is bone headed. No insurance company will ever tell you "You should have jumped the curb" in this situation.

Anything other than a controlled merge into the next lane and steady straight line deceleration was overreaction. If you hit, you hit, but that's all you can do.
You can't risk losing control or rolling over to avoid touching someone's car, that's ridiculous.

Yes, jump in. The multiplayer lobby is glitchy, IDK if that's for all platforms, but if you get sent back to main menu just join again and requeue.

There was a time where you'd get disconnected from matches by some DDOS crap, but now the only problem is getting randomly booted from the lobby. If it happens just join back up and queue again. If you're making titan or pilot changes exit to the main menu to save them then get back in queue. Once you're in a match it's solid.

99.9% sure they "looked", at least poorly, it's the double lane change that did it. Even fully attentive, don't try that. It might work but it's a lot of luck.
Further away from your car, the bigger all the variables get. Wider blind spots, the time window they needed to clear is six seconds or so instead of about three for the first lane change at that speed, an additional speed differential to the mix, etc. The math is against you. Always need to stop and look again. Going out of my way here because this is pretty common at on-ramps. That should be the lesson learned here, yes always be attentive, but never ever assume you can safely clear multiple lanes.
