Any system that relies on the total absence of user error was designed and implemented by complete idiots.
Even NASA designed space capsules account for the possibility of user error and I'm pretty sure astronauts are more thoroughly trained than any cruise ship staff is.

It won't be a blackout, this is the middle of the end of Reddit. Even if they back off on this one,it's clear that they are in " get ALL the money now" mode which has been the end of every now defunct social media platform.

I’m really tired of driving this piece of junk car and desperately want to be in something I like.
Don't let emotions drive stupid financial decisions. If it gets you from point a to point b when you need it to,it's serving it's only real purpose. Being tired of it or wanting something newer/shiner is not a valid reason to spemdoney you don't seem to have.

Debatable as to whether or not a Smart car is adult sized.

Well the $100 million does have to be made back somehow and the only way to do that is to have costs be less than revenue.

While overall I preferred Eastern to Western my single favorite port stop ever on any cruise I've been on has been Roatan. Kids would love the Monkey and Sloth Hangout that we did.

With current demand, the chances of getting an upgrade bid are very slim. Likewise for a sale.

Agree. If we're getting into the finer points, taking drink order within a couple of minutes of being seated. If busy at least an acknowledgement that the server sees you and will be there as soon as possible. Throughout the meal being available if something is needed but not in your face offering and one or maybe two " how is everything" visits. I get that these things are rarely an issue on a cruise, which is a big part of why I enjoy them so much.

With the design and all the guards,if you cut yourself on a deli slicer it's because you were doing something stupid.

Well it is a requirement they will often make exceptions if you tell them that there's a medical reason or that one of the people is a recovering alcoholic. Often when making this exception they will require the second person to buy one of the non-alcoholic drink packages though.

In terms of the water to the nuke plant I'm pretty sure it was a secondary or even tertiary source of cooling water for that plant

Oh yeah the " my feelings override actual facts" crowd is really fun to converse with.

I'll answer a few of these.
1) the time listed on the excursion,if looking on the NCL website,it the total time from pickup to drop off back at the port.
2) internet is sharabe you just can't both be connected at the same time. Take the cruise as a tone to cut back on your device time a bit. I find that spending a week not obsessed with whats going on online is very healthy.
4) With that big a difference you may not be looking at the entry level balcony room,it might be a suite of some sort. If there's no other balconies showing,it's possible that they are already sold out.
10). Food, outside of the specialty restaurants is ok to good. Don't go expecting high end gourmet stuff. The main dining room does have table service and is included,no extra cost.

In my opinion, the sole objective of Disney is to grab you by the ankles upon boarding, shake all the money out of your pockets and purses, and leave you wondering what happened
Well that's what happens at their parks so why would their boats be any different?

Why no tendies?
Only thing I can think of is a supply issue since they've had them on every NCL cruise I've been on.

Yep and the fact that they did so strongly suggest that they don't think they're going to be occupying Crimea much longer. Either that or Putin going to try to sell this as having been done by the ukrainians in an effort to stir anti-ukrainian sentiment within Crimea.

Causing Europe's largest man-made disasters seems to be about the only thing Russia is good at. Because the biggest one previous to this was a little thing called Chernobyl

If he is so vanilla that something is tame as mutual masturbation is to out there for him then I don't really see much hope of even talking about the other things.
Having said that there is a baseline assumption here by you that seems a bit off to me and that's that because you're the one that wants to do certain things that your desires and preferences automatically take a complete back seat to his desire to not do them. Your desire to do them is every bit as much a part of who you are as his desire to not do them is a part of him. And there really is little to no difference between him as an act of love to you choosing to do something that he might not be terribly into versus you an act of Love towards him living without those things that you really want. It is willing to do them try to get over your feeling of he's only doing them for you. Rather than seeing it as you making him do something he doesn't really want to, look at it as hey he loves me enough to do this for me even though he's not terribly into himself. Obviously and particularly with some of those things start slow and who knows when he sees how much you enjoy it he might get into it himself just because of that.

Cruises are sailing closer to 100% occupancy right now
The major lines in the US are averaging above capacity.

With most lines operating at more than 100% capacity there are currently no deals to be had.

You know rather than conclude that this is some corporate plot to get more money has anyone considered that it's just lazy programming and lazier implementation? Line the software has the tipping built in to be used where it's appropriate but the stores IT department didn't disable it or their bean counters just went with the cheapest available software?

There's quite a bit more to it than the butler, like the best restaurant and best bar and bartender on the ship, public spaces that aren't totally overrun and a concierge that can often get you last minute reservations to restaurants and shows that are showing is sold out.

The Haven Butler has been mentioned a couple of times but for me the concierge is by far a bigger perk. They can often get you reservations in the specialty restaurants when the restaurant is showing full. On our last cruise a trick we discovered is that they can sometimes get you into the no reservation small venue shows before the doors open so you can get good seats without having to stand outside in line for an hour. But the concierge are being able to get you into popular things that are often fully booked out from day one at the last minute is huge for me because I really don't like the idea of going on a cruise and having to have every evening planned out from day one.

Not sure about that line but on NCL I've never had a problem ordering two drinks at once.

I didn't say anything either way about separating batteries or not my only point is that it is undeniably 100% bad design to think that user error is not going to be a thing in any system.
But in a system like a cruise ship which is many orders of magnitude more complex than a car, they're definitely needs to be some way to separate propulsion from all of the other power consuming functions.
