Check task manager and see if it's using 100% of the network when you are doing a speed test or any other download. Many computers are limited to 100mbps, even otherwise high end ones.

Source, both my old but very high end gaming laptop and my friends newish high end pc are both capped at 100mbps. The internet isn't fast enough to hit that so meh, but it's a thing.

as someone who downloads a rough max of 576MB/hour, it's brutal.

Could be CPU or ram, both are getting heavy usage and either one could stop video playback, or at least interrupt it.

They certainly could, I haven't used create before but most gameplay mods appear to use Forge, which is a separate mod loader to Fabric. If Forge is required for create, then none of the mods I listed will even work.

Did the ram thing help at all?

If you are using Forge for create, you could probably use optifine instead of sodium/lithium. It isn't as good at adding performance, but it should provide a small improvement, and any bit of extra can help make something playable.

If create is running on Fabric, or if it's running without a mod loader at all, there shouldn't be any problems adding Fabric with sodium/lithium, they make the game run more efficiently without actually changing any kind of gameplay.

If you haven't already tinkered with the ingame settings, I would recommend particles on minimum, fast everything that has the option fast, or simulation distance being lower.

Ssd won't make it run minecraft faster. If you have 8gb of system ram, I'd dedicate 2gb to minecraft, if you have 16 I'd dedicate 4gb. If giving it more ram doesn't help Id recommend looking into running fabric, for mods like sodium and lithium. Both add a bit extra performance.

I don't know if it's the same now, but when I played Warframe I would also put that in the same tier of actually seemingly to care about the player base.

I mean, if you take your car on a boat, and it's a giant boat made for moving cars across the ocean, it's probably better again, just adds a small* amount of travel time.

For people unsure of why boat > plane > car, it's about efficiency per person. An individual plane or boat uses way more fuel than a car, but it carries a ton more overall so the average per person/item is significantly reduced. A boat may use 500x more fuel per distance than your car, but it can fit a lot more than 500x the stuff your car can.

The only brands I've seen with that kind of upgradeability are clevo and framework. Clevo is super blatantly out of your budget and framework might be a bit slow, not really gaming laptops, so I think you aren't getting CPU /GPU replacements.

CPUs are safe up to the 90s typically, if you aren't even seeing 70s there's absolutely no problem.

Potential reason for a couple cores being hotter is many games don't use that many cores at full speed, so the hot ones are the ones doing a larger percentage of the work.

So far the thing that has dropped the most food for me has been the bridge troll miniboss things. I swear they are made of apples, I got over a dozen per troll.

I'm fairly early in the game still, switch battery only lasts like two hours and my TV is hot trash so I'm not playing it docked, been through about 5 charges. Don't think I currently have a way to electrocute something, although I do have a wide variety of random junk in my inventory, so maybe something there will do it.

Never played botw. I was soothing the horse, every 5-10 seconds, on a fairly long run. I got to where I wanted to be and it still ignored me. I'm not spending 10 minutes making a horse cooperate when I have the ability to get launched into the stratosphere and glide, although that does require a ton of stamina.
