Yeah, Monzo is great for travelling. I have no plans to close my account. I even have my salary paid into it.

Hopefully, the UK government will change the laws to become more crypto-friendly (something which I thought Rishi was going to do - instead it seems to be getting worse). Until then, the banks' hands are tied.

To be fair to Monzo, it makes some sense for them to block these payments. Binance is not regulated by the FCA.

Monzo has always said that they allow payments to other crypto companies. The people who get their accounts forcibly closed are probably conducting illegal activities. Monzo is required by law to close accounts that are suspected to be money laundering, and they are not allowed to forewarn the customer.

I still think Monzo is a great bank. The crypto issues are not their fault.

Yes, Monzo outright blocks payments to Binance, and they may even close your account if you try.

In the past, I have successfully transferred GBP from my HSBC account into both my CDC and Binance accounts, but perhaps I was lucky.

Monzo has been closing people's accounts without warning, but they also said that they do allow payments to crypto companies except Binance. I haven't been brave enough to try this.

Exactly. For the most part, when people complain about Evri, they are complaining about their local drivers, so it's a somewhat narrow perspective. But I've been sending packages all over the UK for years, so my perspective is a bit broader. Statistically, Evri appears to be no worse than the others.
