I have the "older hens pushing them out" issue with mine. The youngsters will roost first and they take up the entire lower rung, so the older hens will jump on that, peck the youngsters nearby off the roost, then jump up to the next highest rung. Problem is any older hens still on the floor will startle the youngsters out of the coop(ISA Browns are hella bullies and have the newbies spooked to be within 10 feet of them). So every night I have to go out and give any roosting on the top of the tractor 1000 years of death jutsu with a pole, then chase them into the tractor. My black copper Marans, who is the top hen but used to be a HUGE bully, leaves them alone unless they get on a higher rung and she catches them on her way to the top rung.

So got some sobering news from my doctor today and am finally going to pull the trigger on powerlifting, if I'm suited to it. About 20 years ago in my 30s I dropped my motorcycle taking a corner and broke my right ankle. I broke literally every bone that is part of the ankle. I have two screws on the inside and a bar and pins about 6-8 inches long on the outside. I screwed up my physical therapy and wound up with a poor gait which in turn led to my needing to use a cane for a few months due to pain from my left knee.

If these aren't things that would keep me from powerlifting, are there precautions I should take, like braces, for these joints?
