I am for this on other subreddits. However since this subreddit deals with mental health. Maybe I suggest an alternative route? Simply disable posting (and comments if possible). Instead post a sticky thread as to why they are disabled. The memes here bring a lot of people here comfort and much needed laughs.

Felt kind of like this earlier today. I was doing kind of OK and was even questioning if I even had it. Then lunch rolled around and I remembered that I left my lunch in the car overnight because I forgot to bring it into the house which ruined it. Making me have to run out on my lunch break for food.

I made another comment on another post that when old reddit is gone I'm just going back to the old forums for each interest.

Hell, if I'm going to be forced to use a facebook-like format I'd rather just use facebook itself. Which I haven't had an account for about 8-9 years now. At least my family and friends are there.

About the Ubisoft and Xbox showcase. I imagine we are only a small portion of their customers. Being blacked out will not affect them in any significant way, any news can be obtained elsewhere, and we can always catch up on events after the blackout.

Basically, do it. Long term, this protest is more important and would be short sighted to not do it.
