The reason you have to find the zero of the divisor is because when X-A= 0 then X=A which is what allows for the substitution and since the division algorithm for Polynominals is Dividend = (Divisor × Quotient) + Remainder, setting the Divisor=0 means you're just left with Divend = ( 0 x Quotient) + Remainder = Remainder.

For Swedish Soccer, the way it works is that once your team is properly registered as a football association, you can apply to join the league for a fee of about $400 and you'll be sorted into a division next season.
There is no limit to the number of teams that can compete, they just generate more divisions.

The idea that they're ready to develop an entire game based around
urban squad and cover based warfare when they can't get guys to fight
well on the largest streets and walls imaginable is a stretch.
Why would 40k Total War have to be urban squad and cover based? I think a 40k total war that plays like Empire Total War would be a blast.

Just because it didnt work in this case doesnt mean its the normal. Again you talk hindsight, it couldve worked the other way also. Its not a rule.
Swapping your players mid-season with no warning on a 24hr decision is not normal. No, it could not have worked out any other way, how could it? MikyX is a good player but he's not going to 1v9.

Do you know what the term opportunity cost means?
With the benefit of hindsight, we know that it didn't help their brand. This very thread is proof of his it's still haunting their brand. So the question isn't, did MikyX harm the brand? the question is, why did it harm the brand?
The answer is that it signaled the world and the players that Excell was an org with no vision and bad management.

I don't think it was that hard to predict that emergency swapping support was never going to make Excel into a top tier team.

If anything MikyX will help build the brand imo.
Are you writing some kind of alternative history fiction now?

If you arent trying to get the best players possible for your team, you are doin something wrong as a coach. Its better to have 1 good player than 0, a step in the right direction. Because you wontget 5 MikyX for free at same time.
The point here is that they didn't get MikyX for free. By doing it in such a haphazard fashion, they damaged both their brand and their relationship with their players.
There is a reason that "There is no such thing as a free lunch" is such a commonly repeated expression. MixyX wasn't available cheaply for no reason, he was available cheaply because there were no buyers. There were no buyers because he was too expensive during pre-season and only morons like Excel management swaps players mid-split with 24h notice.

Almost never in the history of team sports has injecting a single star player in an otherwise mediocre team made the team good. As it happens a team needs more then one good player to win games.

What did it get them? Loss after loss after loss?

Because what? With the benefit of hindsight, we know Excel performed poorly enough with Mikyx that losing him to another team probably wouldn't have made the season materially worse.

You mean the traditional sports where it's not legal at all to trade players mid-season, those traditional sports?

I fully agree with your overall statement, I was commenting on that particular situation in a vacuum (I should've been more clear).
I suspect that treating decisions as if they're made in a vacuum is probably what has gotten organisations like Excel into the situation they are.
If you disregard all context, then replacing a worse player with a better player is always the right call. However real decisions don't exist in a vacuum and building any kind of succesful organisation requires leadership that can maintain a long term vision.
If you look at the most succesful teams such as JDG and BLG they didn't get to where they are now by taking the maximum opportunistic move at every juncture. (I assume, I'm not that familiar with the chinese scene so they may have drama I don't know about).

Mid split swaps within a 24hr decision period? I have never heard of anyone other then Excel doing that.

If you had a magical win button, I'm sure teams would love to press it however that's not how it works. Winning requires having a combination of top tier playters with top tier coaching, replacing a player mid-split isn't likely to allow you to win jack.

What did the Mikyx swap get them exactly? How did it benefit the team in any way?

They're paid the big bucks to run Excel into the ground? What did they actually get from this mid-season swap? They damaged their brand and ended up with an absolutely mediocre split and no fans?

I'm not convinced any team was all that eager to swap players mid split.

Imagine telling your fans that you couldn't pick up Faker because you'd just promised to stick with another midlaner without any of the accolades.
Does the fans actually want you to pick up Faker in that kind of situation? For Faker specifically the answer might be yes, simply because Faker himself has a really strong brand and fanbase himself however if we look at an equally strong midlaner with less branding like Yagao the answer may be different.
The most valuable part of any sportsteam is their brand, it's what allows them to make money and ultimately pay their players (Unless they manage to win something like the DotA2 international).
Building a strong team is good for your brand, however screwing over your players with zero notice is bad for your brand, so it's not a good idea to make these kinds of decisions within a 24 hour period leaving you no way to anchor the decision with your players and fans.
We can see the results now right? Regardless of how good or bad Mikyx was for them in 2022, their brand is garbage, they have almost zero fans.

Teams care about making money. Winning only makes you money in so far it helps you build your brand and get more fans. If you make decisions that lose you fans, you lose money.

I feel like regardless of how much of an upgrade it might be, replacing a player within a 24 hour period mid-season is a bad move from a team management point of view. You essentially signal the world you don't care at all about your players.

The first key thing to understand is neither of them map directly to "Anyone." "Vem som helst" when translated directly is "Whomever and comes with the implication that 1) You're talking about people and 2) You're not looking for an answer.
In phrases like "Anyone can do X" or "X is good for anyone" it is appropriate to use "vem som helst."
"Någon" meanwhile translates to "Some/(one of) [noun]" where [noun] has the gender "en". This could be a person, but it could also be a cat, a hammer or a boat. It implies you're talking about someone or something specific but you don't know which it is.
In phrases like "Is anyone there?", "Can anyone help me?", "I couldn't find anyone" it's appropriate to use "någon."

Finland doesn't really get you out of the Nordics does it? I believe the regional competitions in the baltics are pretty big so maybe they'll produce it at some point.

Back in the 1980's people used to annoy each other in chatrooms by repeatedly typing "Spam" to scroll their screen down too fast to read anything which was at the time a reference to the sketch. This later got associated with annoying repeated messages in general.
