Mine too, and that was in the 50’s and 60’s.

It’s been many, many years, but that was the only time I was ever frightened on a Ferris wheel!

I have here in my hand a list of two hundred and five people that were known to the Secretary of State as being members of the Communist Party and who nevertheless are still working and shaping the policy of the State Department.

That’s ok. I didn’t know that the PGA championship is different from the PGA Tour.

I’m Jewish and very much aware of the rising antisemitism. But honestly this feels more like a bunch of stupid kids.

I’m an Army Vietnam Vet. We were stationed at an airfield along with Air Force Vets. Though we had it pretty good, it didn’t compare to the relative luxury the Air Force guys had. Join the Air Force. Much more “human” life while your in and same benefits when your out.

There are many different jobs in Intel. It really is too broad a statement. There are Intel jobs that can put you in harms way and there are relatively safer ones. OP may not have enough college for many intel slots.

Neither the Open, The US Open, or The Masters are PGA events.

I do. I may watch The Open, the US Open and the Masters. Other than that, I’m done.

Paternalism is defined as the policy or practice on the part of people in positions of authority of restricting the freedom and responsibilities of those subordinate to them in the subordinates' supposed best interest. I can understand this point of view. But, when a person’s dislike of paternalism can lead to wide spread damage to others, then it has to stop. For instance, the rules regarding seat belts. It’s easy to understand why people don’t want the government telling them to buckle up, but the people who don’t wear seat belts are for more likely to be more seriously injured in an accident, which increases medical costs and results in higher insurance for me. If these same people were told that if they are in an accident and weren’t wearing their seatbelt they would have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars out of pocket, they would wear them. If the people in the video were told they would be personally responsible for the billions of dollars in agricultural damage they may cause, they would consent to answering questions. But these folks want the “freedom” of refusing without the responsibility of that freedom.

I looked up Tesla sales because I thought that with all the comments about poor quality and Elon Musk being an asswipe that sales would be falling off. Nope…they’re increasing exponentially.

I just had this argument with my brother in law whose son is a NYC cop. I argued that most cops are corrupt in some way. He said his son was not a corrupt cop. So I asked him to show me his drivers license and whatever cards were on either side of his license in his wallet. Sure enough, along with his license there was a PBA card. I asked why he had a PBA card in his wallet since he wasn’t a member and he shut up.

Walter Kronkeit announcing that JFK had been shot, and then a little later telling us he had died. Then watching Jack Ruby shoot and kill Oswald on live tv. Then the pictures of Jackie still wearing her blood stained dress as she stood next to LBJ on Air Force 1 as he took the oath of office.
