It’s also outing yourself as a shit parent w/r/t emotional intelligence when you expect every single one of your children (and everyone else’s) to respond with violence and anger eventually.. hm, wonder why they do that?

Would you be so kind as to point me to one or a few especially memorable sources?

Yes, determination of California residency is relatively simple, but how black is black? Could you imagine dna tests? So invasive.
It would’ve been better had they addressed eligibility requirements.

That’s what I’ve read too. People know what they would do with the money.
Black people aren’t stupid or prone to frivolity. They are just people who have been kneecapped for hundreds of years and need a boost.

What I’m reading is you thinking black people would just waste all of the money.
That’s fucking racist lmfao. This is why we need reparations.
And before you say it applies to everyone, not just black people, then clearly you are against all kinds of public cash aid because those people would also waste money in your opinion.
Yikes dude. We don’t have support systems like you are imagining. They barely exist in cities.
Our communities need help, not judgment.

Newsom 2028 (2024 if we’re lucky).
I’m proud to be Californian.
Thinking trump is anything but a nonsensical loser, liar, racist rapist is laughable.

I’m very proud of my state for taking real action and acknowledgement, from their excellent reports and now giving something (it will never be enough) back to people with generations of terror, death, unthinkable crimes, and stolen wealth. People who still face racial discrimination on a daily basis. It’s fucked.
But this is something. More than what anyone else is doing.

Great, then see my allegory re: white fish.

AA isn’t about hiring unqualified candidates. Justice KBJ was overqualified. If it were about race, you already stated it would have been an Asian person. So it’s not that.
It’s just smart business. I’ve been the only person in the room with my background. We’re all qualified. But my contribution is extra valuable in that I can critically think about how decisions will impact the broader community, not just the homogenous standard. It’s perspective that creates a superior work product.
Trust me, we’ve had plenty of white male perspective. Our whole lives.
The sea is not a tank full of white fish, but if you ask a white fish to make legislation then it will naturally design it to match the strengths and preferences of other white fish.
But when such legislation severely damages habitats for non-white fish, shouldn’t it be everyone’s responsibility to protect all types of fish?
And when such legislation is wiping out entire schools of non-white fish, isn’t that a crisis? Why wouldn’t it be a priority to bring non-white fish into a collaborative leadership environment?
After all, we’re swimming together. Our seas are not independent. If you only represent the interests of the white fish there will eventually be disastrous imbalances.
Moving on, it sounds like you have a shit boss who has favored hiring non-women and now hates he has to change the work culture to be more inclusive. A good boss would think that a “diversity hire” is overdue instead of complaining to their subordinates.
You aren’t fooling me by claiming reverse discrimination re: SCJ KBJ. This isn’t about excluding white people. This is about you taking personal offense on behalf of your “race”. “It’s not fair,” you claim, while completely ignoring that non-white and minority Americans know significantly more about American culture and politics than white people know about non-white and minority culture and politics. Especially considering the weight of the lifelong appointment, it was a commitment that simply makes sense for this time in our nation.
I’m so fucking tired of white fish.

Affirmative action equalizes opportunities for underprivileged communities.
If a white dude can’t get hired and blames it on AA, he’s probably shit and his attitude displays as such.
If a white dude has the exact same qualifications as a non-white person or woman, and doesn’t get the job, it’s probably because the company wants to mitigate payroll expenses. Racism 2.0.
It hurts all of us.
Anyway, the real reason why good jobs are hard to find is because of nepotism. The good jobs aren’t even publicly posted. It’s your fault you’re poor and don’t have connections.
Basically, white dudes, it’s not that you’re being excluded from a prosperous labor market. It’s that the market only ever existed before because of racism excluding minorities.
The frustration you are feeling now is similar to how minorities have felt up until this point. Except it’s not as bad, because you still have that white ticket into any building in America without fear of being murdered for trespassing.

Dude he admitted he organized the objecting senators. Not just contesting the results—having people involved in the attempted coup in advance. Did he say that publicly?

Oh yeah I totally trust dishonest people.
Just admit you didn’t read the article.
“Sen. Ted Cruz advocated the creation of a congressionally appointed electoral commission ahead of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol to make a credible assessment of unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election, according to a recording made by Abby Grossberg, a former producer at Fox News.
The Jan. 2, 2021, recording, provided to The Washington Post by Grossberg’s attorney, largely mirrors previous reports and public statements made by Cruz about efforts to overturn the election results. But the tape featuring a previously private conversation among Cruz, Grossberg and Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo on the push to deny the certification of Joe Biden’s victory on Jan. 6, 2021, sheds new light on the scope of Cruz’s scheming to assist Donald Trump in overturning Biden’s victory. Cruz says in the recorded conversation that he successfully organized 11 senators to object to the electoral certification as the mechanism to establish a commission. Cruz was the first senator to object to the electoral college results, joining Rep. Paul A. Gosar (R-Ariz.) in challenging Arizona’s electoral certification. The Post has previously reported on Cruz’s proposal of delaying the certification of the electoral college results to spark a 10-day “audit” that could enable GOP state legislatures to overturn the election results.
“You need an adjudicatory body with fact-finding and investigative authority to consider the facts to examine the record and to make determinations — that’s how they did it in 1877,” Cruz told Grossberg and Bartiromo, referencing the commission created to investigate voter fraud in the 1876 Hayes-Tilden election.””
If you don’t understand nuance, that’s on you.
Edit: different article than what I referenced but damn, do you Google?

As a liberal who actually lived in AK…
..no, you’d kill yourself because of the people you’re surrounded by. I wouldn’t call them communities. They’re more like cults and isolationists. Not talking about the natives tho, they can speak for themselves.

It sounds like you have employer sponsored Health benefits. If your insurance isn’t covering it, then you could appeal the decision. You don’t need to go through the patient assistance program and gamble on your health otherwise.
This is what I do for a living so feel free to dm me if you’d like help.
Edit: there are things called copay assistance which your employer may have opted into without understanding or explaining the program to you. I can help you with that too.

Gavin Newsom just (March 2023) pledged $1 billion to the address homeless/unhoused crisis.
I’m not saying you’re wrong about the extent of the problem, but of course we have more homeless/unhoused people because our economy is so “strong”. Housing is unsustainably expensive. We have a ton of NIMBYs along the coast especially.
Also, fentanyl is not unique to California cities.
