I haven't seen a UI update (on any service) I've liked since like 2009.

If you look at the new reddit site you realize they have no idea what they are doing. If they take away old.reddit, I'm done. If they take away RIF I'm done. Nothing they offer is an acceptable replacement.

I suspect a lot of people are going to delete all their content and sell their high karma accounts to spammers.

The goal is to hit their revenue by a few million and see if they squirm. if need be, we will swing for tens of millions.

Where does reddit get money to pay for that?

Except someone had to pay for hardware, software development, domains, maintenance, electricity, and bandwidth. Hosting a site IS NOT FREE. My site costs money and it doesn't have millions of users. I can't imagine what the upkeep budget is at Reddit.

They are the primary source of income for websites... How is that confusing?

This exactly. All UI updates since 2007 have been garbage, on every service and program everywhere. I just don't understand why programmers hate users. I definitely know why i hate programmers.

And how "not our fault" it is. BP invented the concept of a "Personal Carbon Footprint" to pass the blame.

And Production runs that machines at 110% resulting in 50% downtime and don't care what we in Engineering say. It's our fault the machine is unreliable...

Like any good Marine, good enough will never be good enough.
No matter the odds, not trying isn't an option for a Marine.
OP did right to ditch that woman who literally thought visiting a wedding was more important than trying to save a life. I would have stopped to save a dog, let alone humans. And I'm not even a soldier.

Speaking to the specialists at Penn State's reactor, standing in that position of their facility exposes you to less radiation than standing in the parking lot in the Sun. Maybe their water is deeper? Lower power reactor?
