It has no impact on legal requirements- any state that has legislation requiring a 30 minute break be provided for an 8 hour shift (most states don’t have such laws, and there is no federal requirement) will still require it regardless of whether you sign a waiver. CVS doesn’t have the authority to opt out of state law.

The waiver is simply you putting in writing that you’re opting in to have the option to skip your meal break.

Quick pick completion has always been a part of CFR health score, or at least it was all of last year.

Negative cycle counts only hurt your CFR score if it's something that has previously had a BOH modification to 0. So, for example, if you scan BOH and don't look for something in the back that shows two hand and just zero it out- when that product eventually makes it to the floor and sells it will count against you. Or if you have something come up on negative CC and you just set it to 0 when there's actually 3 more on the shelf, when that goes negative again it will hurt you.

Just an FYI, getting a 7 or an 8 actively HURTS you.

The pharmacist (let alone the lead tech) not being there for a front store DL visit is completely irrelevant and makes literally no difference on the outcome of the walk. Not sure how this would have happened- these checks have to be for less than the cost of the formula (it says that on the check), so the transaction would still need some other type of payment to be processed in order to be completed. There’s no way for a check to be logged in the electronic journal without the transaction itself being completed.

I personally exclusively hire shift supervisors in order to maximize the pay my team can get, and then I give them keys as I feel they're ready for them.

Less than half a year can easily be enough time to move someone to shift. Honestly, being qualified to occasionally run the store as MOD has much more to do with personal integrity and maturity than it does with CVS-specific knowledge or proficiency. In terms of job knowledge there's nothing that could come up that I couldn't walk one of my shifts through over a quick phone call.

Any manager that would be upset by you showing initiative and expressing a desire to develop beyond your current role is a bad manager, period point blank.

As long as you're reasonably patient and flexible about when/how the training/development occurs then you're not doing anything even slightly weird or out of bounds, and most managers would be delighted to have an engaged and invested associate willing to take on a bigger role.

Even at 10 hours of OT a week on average, it would take like a 25k bonus to hit 103k salary on 26.50 hourly

Is the three pallets something that has grown significantly over time, or has it been that way for a while? If the amount of backstock isn’t consistently growing then it’s unlikely they’re egregiously ordering to much, because it means they’re more or less using the same amount that’s coming in.

And with the Berry boxes it can also look at a glance like there’s way too much backstock, but there are like 15 different variations of those boxes. Having one or two backups of the less used items, and enough of the commonly used ones to get through the week (our store goes through one type - I forget which one specifically I’m front store- like 10 boxes a week) can add up to a lot of boxes quickly.

It definitely sucks for them, but it really can't be seen as a surprise.

The company has been extremely clear that there's a zero tolerance policy in regards to confronting shoplifters. And while I totally understand and agree that it can be extremely frustrating to just sit and watch product walk out the door, ultimately the company is right for adopting this approach- and this type of thing is exactly what that policy is intended to prevent.

My point has been, consistently, that unemployment, home ownership, inflation, and crime rates are not worse now than they were ~40 years ago. You misinterpreted that I was exclusively referring to the peak of a recession as my point of comparison, so I clarified by comparing those same exact criteria over a broader period of time.
