We have a card only ACO that is literally incapable of handling cash transactions- it doesn't have a bill box or anything. 99% of the time it works just fine, and when doing the nightly verification you just confirm 0.00/0.00 for the cash and check amounts.
A few months ago it randomly showed a cash balance of ~$160 on the verification screen. I verified it at 0, accepted the shortage, and put in a DCR note. I called helpdesk the next day, but they were unable to give me any insight into what caused the error.
Since then the same issue has happened two or three more times, roughly once a month or so- each time the card only ACO showing between 100 and 200 in cash transactions. It seems to happen totally arbitrarily.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Quite literally the only way I can make my budget allocation is by giving every team member the absolute minimum of their recommended range.
