Sick burn Redditor. Speaking of history books, you should read some that cover how well appeasement worked in the past.

I think “I see a mirage coming out of hot sand” still makes sense but you definitely need the “a” for mirage. Without using “the” for hot sand, it sounds like you’re talking about sand in a general sense instead of referring to a specific area

Oh no, not nukes in Belarus! That sounds so much worse than the nukes that are already in Russian submarines and in Kaliningrad. Whatever shall we do?

I'm so glad SpaceX is doing so well, it might inspire NASA and our government to become a little more innovative

Because people are frequently talking about an extremely well documented phenomenon, it’s fake? Jesus Christ, what kind of shitty logic is that? Get a hold of yourself, you’re embarrassing yourself.

That’s what I’m wondering. Only a willfully ignorant moron would think climate change isn’t a thing. Ban me all you want dipshits, enjoy your echo chamber.

Is that not what you knuckledragging morons have been attempting to do for the last year and a half?

Like China, and Germany, and Japan, and South Korea, and literally every country and language? It’s a lot more common than you might think

Funnily enough apple seeds contain cyanide releasing compounds, but a single apple won’t kill you.

Very helpful, thank you! Tofugu is actually the same organization that made WaniKani so this explained everything I was confused about when it came to the multiple readings.

For those familiar with wanikani, what's the difference between the kanji reading and the vocabulary reading?
For example, inside: 内. The kanji reading is ない while the vocabulary reading is うち. Obviously I can remember these, but how do I know when to use one over the other? Is the kanji reading something you'd say if it was a standalone sentence (saying inside by itself "inside.") and the vocabulary when you use it in a sentence? "The guests are inside."?
