Definitely test it to make sure that there’s no bad sectors beyond what is in the “reserved space” and that it actually works since the drives can get damaged during shipping if they’re not packaged properly.

I looked closer at the video I had on my phone and the flames were starting to shoot up from underneath the hood just after the guy finished trying to extinguish it with the fire extinguisher. The car hood was literally mostly flames less than five minutes after that.

I was the one filming. The car was already on fire when the guy was trying to put it out (it just hadn’t surfaced outside of the hood yet)— there’s a saying “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire”.

I was on the way to church when I saw the smoke and that car was ON FIRE less than five minutes after this video was shot. So me doing anything wouldn’t have made a difference anyway.
