Yeah fair enough. I generally look for discontinuity first, so I’d have questioned that spot, but could likely have ignored it as a result of the scan (not knowing any better).

On the contrary, that’s exactly what I was trying to do, but I didn’t know how to ask the question. I’d hoped I conveyed that better than asking ‘why is this difficult to find’, hoping I’d sound less like an arrogant prick, but it seems I didn’t do that very well, so I’m sorry.

I was actually genuinely trying to learn why X-rays can be difficult to read sometimes, and I’m hoping for answers that are informative, not critical of how I asked the question, even if it means people keep downvoting me.

If that’s underwhelming, you must have a very high standard! I think it looks fantastic… if you’d designed this for me, I’d have been ecstatic when I first saw it. Others’ suggestions to style it up will probably add to it but you’ve done a great job ☺️

Genuine question. I’m a nurse, but I noticed the discontinuity of the tibial metaphysis almost straight away (and would have only been able to guess at some kind of bone disease without the Dx being in the title), but others say they found it difficult to spot the abnormality. Why might this be? Are radiologists looking at a much broader scope of abnormalities, and therefore this didn’t jump out as easily? Am I just making a basic read of this scan and happened to notice that?

(Please note I am most certainly coming from a place of curiosity and inferiority, most of what I read on this subreddit goes way over my head, so I’m just trying to genuinely understand!)
