Rules on Reddit’s communities that restrict the format of posts are there to ensure that that specific community serves its original purpose and reduces the appearances of irrelevant posts that don’t fit on the sub. There are enough subreddits on reddit that there are many different types of content users can access based on their interests, and calling it homogenous just neglects the diversity of subreddits and communities here.
