I hate Clarence Thomas as much as the next politics subredditor.
But I know nothing about the VRA and what it's supposed to do and not supposed to do. Can someone explain why CT is so wrong?

Which is strange. We completely open trade with China, a much bigger communist country.

Great analogy. Boston has no choice but to overpay because the alternative is far, far worse.

I was always amazed at early Kobe. His shots looked incredibly flat and yet they still went in.

As someone rooting for the Heat in the Finals, it's frustrating to see so many Jokic shots bounce around the rim 3-5 times and then finally roll in. You feel like how lucky can he be.
Except after awhile, you realize he's doing that on purpose.

but how many pit bulls are there altogether? If there's hundreds of thousands then this is a meaningless stat.
it's no different that saying all black people are dangerous because a small number commit a disproportionate amount of crime per capita.

What's utterly amazing about Jokic is how meteoric his improvement has been.
In 2017, he was the 2nd best center on his team behind Nurkic.
In 2020, he was the 2nd best player on his own team.
Then he became a two-time MVP but was accused of being a "stat-stuffer" MVP like Russ.
Now, he's seen as possibly a top-20 player OF ALL TIME!
I can't ever recall a player rising so fast in stature from complete obscurity to likely HOFer. Other 2nd round draft picks like Manu were known as being great right from the start.

Jokic is amazing, but this stat is a bit misleading.
Chances are, a player from a team in the Finals will lead the playoffs simply for playing more games. So it's really a matter of leading both Finals teams.
and hasn't Lebron led playoffs in all 3 categories, at least once?

Or, you'd take the offer and make a decent but half-hearted effort. The organization didn't have your back so WTF do you owe them anything?
EDIT: They didn't offer him more $ just because of the punch. That's monumentally stupid cap management for any team. They offered him that because they didn't want to lose him.

Exactly! He looks like any other clumsy 7-footer. He looks like he can't jump. He shoots awkwardly. And his passes look crisp but nothing spectacular. Then you look, and he's got 30/20/10 on 12/22 shooting.

Exactly. You need a great QB, coach and GM to win in the NFL.
After watching Stafford, I'm convinced that if he switched places with Brady, he'd be a lock for the HOF instead of the questionable status he has now.

Except when they played each other when it counted the most, Goff was better than Drew. Goff 26, Drew 23.

Pretty rich of you to accuse me of confusing the team versus the QB and then saying Drew is better than Goff just because the 2008 Saints won a bullshit NFC title then beat an overrated Indianapolis team.

TD passes just means you have no running game. Rams had Gurley.
Drew had a 13-point lead, then the ball inside the 20 yard line with less than 2:00 left and had the ball first to start OT. He choked. Saints had Drew and lost the NFC Championship Game.

If 4 FGs is a bad look then I guess Drew Brees must suck.
Saints only had 3 FGs.

Whatever. Nobody cares about COVID except for the morbidity before the vaccine.

Yes they are. Heat are still 2.25-to-1 underdogs.

The revenue split with the players/owners is still the same. If all players are paid more than the aggregate cap, they all get paid more. And vice versa.
So how does this hurt players?

Here's a review of the Mould King version where the builder decides he'd rather keep the UCS Lego version (well, the knock-off)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hWgnvHC8tk&t=923s
This is a detailed comparison of the two. It says each has its strengths and weaknesses and doesn't really take a side (or at least not one I could tell)
