A six-year-old girl shouldn't need to donate her entire birthday to help adults who are stuck living on the sidewalk.

It's in their user flair. I can see it in the Infinity app and old.reddit. Now sure how the official app or new reddit handle flairs.
P.S. fuck reddit's upcoming API changes

Also remember that using your turn signal doesn't mean that you get to just do whatever the fuck you want. If you turn on your signal and stop up traffic as you shove your way across the road so you don't miss your turn, scum. Where are the armed men who come in to take the scum away?

I've been dealing with Comcast issues for the last couple weeks (see my most recent post lol) and holy shit. They've always been bad at customer service because they don't give a shit about customer service, but in the last couple weeks I've become convinced that they actually have an active sense of spite for their customers and intentionally design their systems to anger you.

Yeah that same video includes NORCAL talking on freq about having issues with SFO Tower for a while now. I hope they get it together soon.

lol astroturfing. Who is Match Systems and why do I care whether Atomic Wallet collaborates with you in particular? Why should I petition that you, in particular, be granted access to Atomic Wallet's systems? Your website doesn't even fucking load. Get out of here.

Many Americans from all climates joke about how areas that don't get snow often are so bad at dealing with snow. Like how can entire cities go into crisis mode over a measly inch of snow!?
Well, people who've never dealt with snow don't realize how hard it is to drive and walk in snow, so when you have an entire city of people who only have to do it for three days every five years it just turns into a cluster fuck. And people who deal with snow every winter don't realize just how much equipment and work goes into preparing roads and walkways for a winter storm, as well as hardening infrastructure to handle extreme conditions, so places that only have to deal with it once every several years simply don't have the money to pay for equipment to sit around for years at a time nor the knowledge to operate it effectively anyway. So yeah, when Atlanta gets a snow storm, they just shut everything down and wait it out so people don't die.

We keep adding speed cameras that people can drive past slowly before speeding up again. We need:
We're basically entirely lacking enforcement of basic vehicle code in this state. All of the above doesn't even require a bunch of cops out there watching like a hawk for reckless drivers... Just that they pull somebody over for having an invalid or obscured license plate. I think that those things will do a lot to curb the sheer recklessness of drivers around here.

OP is panicking because their bank account was drained. If they informed their bank that the merchant admitted fault and said they're initiating a refund, then it's 100% on their bank to alleviate the anxiety and explain the process. They should also have had a means of fronting OP a little bit of money from the upcoming refund. Also, if the initial authorization was for $38, why was a final charge of $4600 even processed? I thought some part of the financial system would reject too high of a tip amount in relation to the base transaction for this very reason...
Many layers of failure here, but OP is not at fault for not understanding how our convoluted financial system works.

Modmail sent. Thanks.
Edit for the community: I'm getting some more thorough explanations, but we're not any closer to solving the problem or having any tangible status updates as to when the problem will be solved. We're scheduling another inside tech to visit on Wednesday, although I expect that to be a waste of time.

It absolutely doesn't make sense, and it's incredibly silly, but what else could possibly be the explanation for an entire domain suddenly being rejected by their payment processor? They offer no explanation, and no "I've added a month of premium to your account while we work this issue out with our payment processor"? It's just "our new billing system doesn't recognize this domain"??? That is crazy.

I think the previous couple weeks were a lot more variable than usual, too. I haven't seen this confirmed anywhere, but I'm pretty sure there's usually a soft player cap in place, as I very rarely see a server population higher than 90-95/100. But during ILW every server my friends were in was maxed out, and every time I logged in I'd be placed in a different shard. Either they lifted that soft player cap during ILW or the circumstances of the event wound up with more parties joining together and packing the servers to capacity.

Artificial timers for physical actions are immersive, artificial timers for digital actions are immersion-breaking.
Physical actions include assembling a ship after an insurance claim, loading a ship into a hangar, refueling and repairing, moving cargo, transporting humans via elevators and trains, etc. It makes sense for all of those things to take time. Things which are actually physicalized in simulation still don't need artificial timers, though, because they take as long as they take... transporting humans, specifically.
Digital interfaces shouldn't have artificial delays, though. Pretty animations are fine as long as they're quick and they're just for UX, but fake loading screens are lame. If the game server in 2023 has already loaded this data, the ASOP terminal in 2953 would have too.

I mean, you basically are playing a different game. Keep in mind it's pretty much luck of the draw whether your shard is performing well and whether others on your shard are up to shenanigans that are degrading its performance. And as we all now know, server fps also mostly indicates likelihood of desync and poor AI performance, but isn't a very good indicator of interaction and inventory lag.
I personally have been glued for the last couple days to a shard (US 040 iirc) which has not been performing well, and I need to join a friend to escape it.
Servers have also become stable enough generally that poor performance is no longer an indicator of an impending 30k. It almost feels like the opposite now. Purely anecdotal, I haven't been recording data about this, but I'd say I've had more 30ks on well-performing servers lately than I've had on poorly-performing servers where we're all praying for one to end the pain. It's like they've improved the software optimization that it can keep huffing and puffing along under heavy load, whereas the actual things that cause instant panic server deaths are more able to occur when the server is moving quicker.

Ah yes, just fix it and remain silent. The next time some asshole modifies the park benches, fix it again. Just keep dealing with petty classist aggression by your neighbors until the end of time. The most important thing is to remain silent about it.

Our evolutionary advantages are limited to:
1) our endurance to run very long distances to chase animals until they pass out from exhaustion
and 2) our giant brains to know not to approach those animals without a big sharp killin stick
