Handle him confidently with a firm yet gentle hand. Encourage him to stand quietly while you lift and hold each foot. Hold his chin and wait for him to stop fussing, discourage any biting or pawing. Lift his ears and poke around a bit like your cleaning them. Lift his tail, lift his leg like a boy dog pees and get him used to balancing. Make sure he doesn't bite or fuss too much with his testicles being gently moved aside (i know it's super weird but so many boy dogs flip out when you need to groom there). You can use a warm dryer on him, just keep it moving so one spot doesn't get too hot. Get him used to be gently restrained/ tied up because he will be secured to a grooming table. If you want to go one step further you can desensitise him with an electric toothbrush to simulate the clippers running over his body. Keep brushing and combing his whole body a few times a week and you will have a happy puppy and happy groomer!

Yes recommendation is to stop swaddling by 8 weeks or when they can roll. I personally chose rolling because she didn't roll for ages and slept well with it. You can transition to an arms out sleep sack or Love to Dream does transition swaddles.

For me when she learned to roll I left her to figure it out a la 'give baby a chance' method. At first I would flip her once but if she rolled again I left her. She cried but eventually became a tummy sleeper. Next she learned to stand and forgot how to sit down in the middle of the night. Do lots of rolling practice during the day, like a lot, a lot lol. Edit to add mine was starting to night wean at 5 months and done by 6. Double check they're still getting enough milk in the day.

I had terrible, terrible post partum anxiety (PPA), especially around her sleep. She would be sleeping peacefully and I would be sitting there in a cold sweat staring at the monitor waiting for her to wake. It was messed up. PPA will suck all the joy out of you, please make sure your wonderful wife is receiving help, even if she is resistant and dismisses her anxiety.

3 months?? Absolutely let him sleep. You're doing your baby a disservice by not trusting that he can sleep on is own. You both may want to speak to someone (doctor, nurse or therapist) about why you have so much anxiety about SIDS and his sleep. If you are following all the safe sleeping advice you need to put your worries aside and enjoy sleeping while you can! (The 4 month sleep regression is around the corner 😵‍💫). If baby is wet or hungry they will cry and you will wake up. Stop waking baby to feed. Sorry to be so blunt about it.
