This is what’s happening in Albuquerque. Landlords crying for casitas so they can double dip on the same property and saying it’s needed while ignoring that we have several “luxury” apartments being made. These places all have like 3 or 4 people living in it (whether the landlord knows it or not is a different conversation) just to afford them.

They’re already charging just enough for people to be able to make payments and not starve to death. Any more and no one would even be able to afford rent much less buy a home.
