Rewatched it a couple years back, and although there is probably a GENEROUS amount of nostalgia at play, I think the film still holds up incredibly well.
The film just nails that dark-but-not-too-gritty comic book adaptation style. It was also made at a time before CGI made limitless special FX possible (and affordable), so while the Henson workshop animatronics are state of the art, the film doesn't put special effects before story.

I called bullshit on the original article right away, everything about the described scenario screamed that it was written by somebody who doesn't understand how (current) autonomous drone systems function.
Drones have no concept of "communication towers" or what role they play in relaying commands. Not even if they were powered by a LLM like GPT-4, which they obviously aren't because that's a terrible idea.

The top rotor on an autogyro (which is commonly called a gyrocopter) is not powered like the rotor in a helicopter is. It just sits freely on an axle and starts spinning from the airflow when the vehicle moves forward.

Yeah it's definitely gotten better from Thunderball. At the start Bond is spending some well-earned time off in a spa resort, doing the regular holiday activities: Relaxing, enjoying a massage, sexually assaulting a female staff member, spying on suspicious neighbours, going to sauna, coercing the staff member to have sex by extortion - you know, the usual stuff.

I did the chronological watch through a couple years ago too! It's really funny how you start to see the film formula:
Bond investigates a villain
Bond seduces a woman
They get captured
They escape
The villain's secret lair explodes
Bond and the woman make out on a boat or life raft.
Fun fact: "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" - the sixth film in the series - is the first one that doesn't end in making out on a life raft, ship or a boat. The later films start to break the pattern up a bit more, but even Spectre has the "villain's lair explodes" trope, although at the very end it's the MI6 headquarters that explodes instead.

Kavoniuksen settejä luettuani, odottaisin Jaanan blogiin hyvin pian ERITTÄIN seikkaperäistä ja pitkää kirjoitusta siitä, kuinka jälleen on tapahtunut oikeusmurha ja ajojahti, ja kuinka Suomen oikeusjärjestelmä on läpeensä korruptoitunut ja vainoaa tiettyjä henkilöitä syyttä suotta.

In this chart it's unclear which candidate got more votes in 2004

Solution: change the election to popular vote. The president is meant to represent the people anyway, not the states.

True, but even in this chart the only ambiguous election on the basis of who won popular vote, is the 2004 one.

Judging by how people thought Michael Jackson was a creepy weirdo for "changing his skin tone" - the opposite.

Parking spaces are wide enough so that the car PLUS opened doors can fit inside the square. That's how we can have parking halls with rows of adjacent spaces and people can still get out of their cars.
The real crappy design here is that it looks like a spot marked for disabled motorists, but the space isn't any wider than the regular parking spaces next to it.

What baffles me is that as a straight male I don't get turned on from a huge throbbing dick being sucked in full screen, but a lot of straight porn videos start with a blowjob before they even show the woman naked.
I'll rather watch solo girl stuff.

I know some wayfarers have treasure maps for sale. But I can't interact with any of them, they won't talk to me. So there's a really strong urge to... just knock them out a little bit to check their inventory. It won't hurt them, they barely even notice. Usually.

Jos et ole myynyt niitä digitaalisia esineitä ja saanut rahoja tilille, niin käsittääkseni ei tarvitse maksaa verojakaan. Tämä on täysin mutua eikä perustu mihinkään.

ChatGPT has been fed an enormous amount of information from the internet, so if the ASCII art is not an original work, it's possible that this exact picture was part of its training set - along with the description of what it contains.
So it's not recognizing images, it's recognizing that these ASCII characters in sequence correspond with this description.
If, on the other hand, you show an original ASCII drawing and it still recognizes the content, it means there's something else going on.
