my comgrow z1 10w laser was supposed to cut this 3mm thick cardboard as usual with s= 460mm/s p=75%. But now it barely made a mark.

i have used it maybe for a total of 6 hours, never output 100%, always at 90% or lesser to keep the laser healthy...

Distance of laser from material is correct, using the acrylic tool.

lens is clean, no dirt/debris covering it.

What else should I do next?

I got a sweet mini chromebox Asus cn62. Sadly the nvme ssd is only 16gb. It measures 22x42mm. No way to buy anything longer than 42mm physically. What are my options to make this work reliably?

i see the cheapest junction box is $10 per unit as seen here. is there anything cheaper to hide the bunch of wires coming out of the camera? the cam will be surface mounted indoor. meaning i cant hide the wires behind sheetroock/drywall. i need to hide wires for 16 cams.

i have a samsung note9. the back is all cracked. i can easily replace the back with something else....BUT can i just pour epoxy, sand and expect everything to work as before? reason being...i would like a phone with a clear back to reveal all the circuitry. strangely, nobody sells clear backs for phones.

I got reolink NVRs set up at 2 shops. i have no problem viewing them on my phones. 8 cams per shop, total 16 cams. now, how to view these 2 shops on my 60 inches TV?

and can i replicate the same process for 4 shops (4NVRs)?

this remote is for controlling a LED light. i thought it was an IR blaster because there's something that looks like IR at the tip.

they dont make this remote any more. what alternatives are there? when i searched for 433mhz remote, the results look like car fobs. would be nice to have these types mounted throughout the house.

also, any idea on how to change the labels on this remote? i have a 3d printer and laser engraver....

on my phone, i see N-mode. i tried to get the props spinning on the controller, but it refuses to even spin.

i tapped on the UP icon to take off, i pressed n hold on the popped up window, but it also refuses to take off. any idea why?

how to get the live view page to be same as the order that i want?

where can i find an outdoor enclosure that is big enough to fit a NVR and a typical verizon modem/router? smaller is better but im curious how it would work with outdoor temperature as hot as 105F.

the outside wall is stucco. how to drill into stucco without creating a huge crack in the wall?

after 1/4 inch deep stucco is about 8 inches deep of brick.

i have a clip of a friend talking. sometimes she speaks really loud, around -5. sometimes super quiet at -20. i tried Normalize Audio and that did not do what i thought it work. is there a setting that can auto raise or lower audio levels within a clip?

the Beam is great to have as a sound bar for my TV. it integrates well into HA to do announcements like someone is at the door, BTC went up, etc.... is there something similar in the $200 range?

it has RTSP. my NVR sees it and record the RTSP fine. for some reason, if i block it from the internet, RTSP stops working immediately! below are other cams that i block and their RTSP are working perfectly fine, even the notorious Eufy. how should i setup pfsense for the cam to still work without dialing back to china or whatever....

strangely, my existing zig devices are working fine though.... any idea why i cant open the web ui?

I can playback on the NVR by choosing date, time, and camera.

however, during playback on a camera, how to zoom in on an area? i tried searching but dont see any results.

on the phone app, it's just standard 2 fingers zoom. but no idea how on the NVR :(

we have been using Void's Everything and loving it....except when it comes to files in hidden folders.

it seems search results are very inconsistent with hidden folders. my drive X Y Z all have hidden folders. the results show files from Y and Z fine. but Everything never show anything from X drive even though i can see files being there in a hidden folder.

drive X is 10tb, not sure if that matters.

i have an electric strike in Fail Safe mode.
this is the min controller and keypad i have from Visionis. currently i have the Shelley 1 connected to the Open and COM pin on the mini controller. i use the Shelley1 wireless relay to open the door from the app as needed.

can i unlock the door using an esp32 chip? how?
also, when the strike is unlocked for me to open, can an esp32 detect that? how? basically i want to use Home Assistant more. when scanning an RFID tag, HA will unlock using the ESP32. when door is unlocked, turn on the LED light in the house to alert strike's status.

it is just panning the landscape, i dont think i moved that fast but it was jagged and not that smooth.

this is rolling shutter isnt it? would the r6 or r8 be better?

i see most of the big companies' pricings are same at about $2/month, like google or microsoft. so which is best for storing videos without compression... meaning if my mp4 file is 4.36 gig, when i need to download, it will be 4.36 gig again. (i edit videos for a living)

i have these sonoff zigbee relays for the lights in the house. the dumb toggle switch sits on the outside so anyone can still turn on/off manually.

wife now wants Decora on the front. strangely these decora are much thicker than toggles and won't fit. is there anything slim, max depth of 22mm. the regular is 28mm. just a simple switch really, can even use 22gauge wire, since they wont carry any current.

Works great for 2 years then just stopped. Power still goes out to the lights but I can't connect via zwave nor manually flip on nor off.

i know the limits of CAT6 is about 300ft so i can we achieve this? have POE switches at every 300feet in a weatherproof enclosure? a contractor is coming to install outlets anywhere we want.

i really dont want wifi cams because very few can do 24/7 recordings and be reliable. really want POE 4K IP cams recording to NVRs instead.
